Got a text supposedly from Halifax saying a new device was added to my account, then it asked me to visit a website. Felt a bit off, so I didn't click anything.

So this call came through claiming to be NHS track and trace, but that’s definitely a lie! I got my phone company to look into the number and they told me it’s a private line linked to scams. I’m really poorly at the moment and they tried to pretend they were confirming my health details for future doctor visits. Proper creepy. Best to just ignore these calls.

I didn’t pick up, but when I rang back, I just got an international dial tone and then a message saying they weren’t accepting calls.

Got a call from a lady with an accent I couldn’t place, and she seemed to know my name. She claimed to be ringing from a company and mentioned they noticed I was handling some debt with regular payments. As soon as I told her “No, that’s not the case,” she just ended the call right away.

I got a call from this number, a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from the NHS. He mentioned my name and where I lived, which was a bit creepy. He kept asking about my health insurance and stuff to do with COVID, but when I refused to share anything, he just ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke speaking some foreign language, saying I owed money. I told him I didn’t, then he just cut the call.

Some woman with an accent rang up, claiming to be from the FCA Investigations team. She said she needed to discuss my debts and mentioned something about the government wiping them away! I didn’t buy it and gave her quite a strong talking to - then she just dropped the call!

Got a call from a guy with an accent who already had my name and address, claiming he was from the NHS. He started asking about Covid, whether I have the Track and Trace app, and if I’ve got any life insurance. When I challenged him on why he needed that info, he said there’d been a couple of coronavirus cases nearby. Then he asked who my funeral plan was with - I told him that was none of his business. Asked where he found my details and he insisted it was from the NHS. Not sure what his real agenda was, but I’m definitely putting that number on the block.

Had a call from a woman with a foreign accent asking if I was using the NHS Covid app. Then she started asking about my life insurance, how much I pay, and my address. When I asked what this had to do with anything, she just kept saying it was for updating their database. I told her my NHS details were already current and hung up. They rang back two more times after but I didn't pick up.
