Just got a call claiming to be from the crime squad or some detective, saying my number was linked to a major crime and I’d get arrested if I didn’t pick up. This number’s being used for loads of scams like this - why isn’t anyone cracking down on it? You’d think they could at least track where it’s coming from by now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the electricity board, but it was just a scam.

So this guy called saying my life insurance was about to run out and tried to chat about new rules or whatever. I couldn’t stop myself from laughing and told him my policy actually lasts for another 2 years. As soon as I said that, he just hung up on me. It’s crazy how these callers have no clue about you and just make stuff up.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau saying I owed money. I told them I didn’t have any debts, but they insisted I did. Then they started talking about unpaid debts that were supposedly ongoing. I denied it again, and before I could say more, they just hung up on me. Honestly, I can’t believe some folks think it’s okay to pull stunts like this!

Just got a call from someone with an Indian or Pakistani accent saying they were from Citizens Advice, trying to chat about a debt I supposedly owe. I don’t actually have any debts, so it sounded like a phishing attempt that could turn into fraud. Best to ignore these calls and never share your info with them.

Someone rang saying they were from the NHS checking up on covid symptoms and mentioned I had the app on my phone. They even knew my house number and postcode which felt a bit creepy. Then they asked if I had any private health insurance. I told them I actually work for the NHS, and suddenly they hurried off the call real quick!

i got a call from a woman who said her name was 'sharon', but there was no way that was her real name, probably an indian accent or something. she was going on about clearing up some debts or something. i just ended the call right away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Citizens Advice, but it was just some Indian lady who didn’t know a single word of English. I ended up calling her a Behanchod, and it showed what they really were. For sure, this was a scam.
