Scammers pretending to be from Lloyds bank keep ringing me, saying there’s been a suspicious transfer of £600 from the US on my account. They tell you to install some app to “protect your connection” to their server, something like a remote access tool - very dodgy if you ask me. Then they want you to visit this site geektyper and pretend like it’s a legit scan with lots of nonsense code running all over the screen. Total scam, stay well clear!

I had a pretty similar experience. They tried to take around £600 from my bank. At first, it was a woman with an Asian accent, then she handed me over to a man who also spoke with an Asian accent, saying he was from my bank. I told them I’d call the cops if they didn’t stop. Watch out for these scams!

They had all my info - my last few payments, balance and even card details. I was daft enough to fall for it. Now I’m battling with my bank to get my money back. These lot pretended to be from the bank’s fraud squad, telling me they were chasing a crook. They even showed me stories about some Jessica Harper nicking over 2.4 million from TSB. Honestly, don’t be silly like me, don’t download any apps they ask for - just hang up straight away.

total scam alert!!! dont be fooled by these absolute scumbags. legit banks/online shops/credit card companies NEVER call you on your mobile like this. they tried pulling this on me too, claiming some guy “john crawl” was trying to move £600 from my account. then they told me to enter an ip address which showed up as mountain view, california. next thing they want you to download some “security” app, and that’s when they drain your bank balance. seriously, warn your mates and fam about this, just google “mountain view ip scam” and see for yourself!

Right from the first ring I reckoned it was dodgy. The initial call was just some automated message, then they rang me back saying my payment was frozen or summat. I checked my bank online straight away, there was no money missing or anything. So, if you get some robo call and then a follow-up, I'd say best to just give it a miss.

Turns out this number is linked to 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF, and the name on the listing is Stuart Wright. At least we’ve got an idea of where this dodgy caller’s based! The place looks quite spacious too - no surprise he’s been running his scams from there!

When I asked him to prove who he was, he got really rude with me. I never even logged into my account cos HSBC staff have always been polite to me. Seriously, watch out for this guy!
