Got a call from some robotic American voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying I’d be sued if I didn’t answer their letter and press some button. Thing is, I haven’t paid tax in yonks, so was clear it was a total scam. HMRC never ring you up with some automated Aussie-sounding robot warning about legal stuff, let alone with an American accent. Definitely a dodgy call.
