So there was this cheerful bloke with an Asian accent, he said his name was John 😊 and started chatting about health insurance. Weirdly enough, I've been off sick and was just checking out health insurance stuff online! Shows you gotta watch those cookies you click on when surfing the web.

This morning, I picked up the phone only to find that someone was calling from this number. They had the audacity to know my name and address, and then proceeded to ask for my bank details to set up a direct debit for a warranty on my washing machine. The thing is, my washing machine is already insured, so their call seemed rather dubious.

The woman on the other end was inquiring whether I drive and was quite persistent about finding out my date of birth and address, among other things. Definitely raising some red flags!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who already seemed to know my name and address, but still asked me to confirm them. She then wanted to know if I was a driver - didn’t fancy answering that. Next she asked my age, and I gave nothing away. She just ended it there. Felt like they were fishing for info rather than trying to sell me anything. Definitely just spam, so best to give it a miss.
