I got a call from someone claiming to be with the "Call Blocker team." They called me by a fake name I’d once given to a telemarketer just to throw them off. They asked if I was getting nuisance calls - funny coming from them! I said yes, hoping they'd catch on. Then they told me I could buy a call blocker for £140.21, one payment only, no monthly fees. When I asked which model it was, they said it was the "Call Blocker 2600." A quick Google search showed that thing goes for about £28 to £35 online or in shops. I tried to get more info and asked where the company was based; they said Boston. I asked if that was Boston in the US, then they abruptly hung up. Pretty obvious I wasn’t a serious buyer.

Got a call on my mobile from a number I’ve never shared with anyone. I hardly ever turn it on, just keep it for emergencies, so it’s weird. None of my mates know this number either. I only saw who it was because I turned the phone on to see the battery level. Didn’t even get a voicemail or anything.
