Some bloke rang my hubby saying there was cash waiting from a claim he supposedly made, but wanted bank details to sort the payment. Oddly, the guy knew our address but my hubby just said he didn’t live there. When hubby asked the company’s name, the caller replied in this weird, shaky foreign voice that was hard to understand. Once my hubby brought up the police, the guy just ended the call. Total scam!

A guy with an accent like he wasn’t local called saying he was from the UK benefits office. I asked him which part specifically, but he just kept repeating "UK benefits department". When I pressed him to confirm if he was certain, he suddenly ended the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
