This was definitely a con.

This number 07966182042 called me pretending to be from HMRC, they said I'd done some fraud and if I didn't answer they'd get the police involved and arrest me. Totally felt like a scam to me.

I just got a call warning me that my national insurance number might be cancelled because of some dodgy financial activity. I told them to buzz off and ended the call right away.
