Got a robo call claiming to be my bank, asking me to ok a money transfer they said was blocked. Pretty sure it was just a scam trying to trick me.

So this bloke turned up at my door saying he was from Virgin Media and could offer me some sort of discount. I asked for his name card, he said his name was Adam and gave me the number 07966135118. It all seemed a bit off, so I thought I'd look up the number before doing anything. He did have a proper uniform and one of those electronic devices that looked authentic, so it wasn't the usual dodgy trick. Glad I didn't just take it at face value!

Somebody rang, saying they were from the Virgin Media retention dept. I got in touch with Virgin Media, and they said they never made that call or left any notes on my account. They've now marked it as a scam.
