Got a text from someone claiming to be Apple Pay, saying my payment info was frozen and that I needed to click some dodgy link to fix it. The message came from some random mobile number, not anything official, so I just ignored it. Plus, I don’t even use Apple Pay, so it was obvious nonsense and a total scam.

I used F-Secure Text Message Checker on the number and the text it sent me. It flagged the message as unsafe. They suggest not clicking on any links in it and to just delete the message altogether. Better safe than sorry!

Just got a text saying my Apple Pay payment method has been temporarily frozen and to click a link to fix it. Problem is, I’ve never set up Apple Pay or added any card to it. Looks like a classic scam, so be careful and don’t click on anything like this!
