Got a call from 07961607564 really early in the morning but when I answered there was nobody on the line.

I got a call from this number with a strange accent claiming to be from B.T. They started saying my debit card was about to expire and asked me to confirm the expiry date. I told them if they were really from British Telecom, then give me my customer account number. Instead of that, they just told me my phone number! I said that’s not an account number, and we don’t have to share that with them. I then told them to jog on and ended the call.

Got a voicemail saying my credit card was used to pay Amazon and Western Union. It asked me to press a button to reach the department. Sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call claiming to be from the TPS, asking if I was still getting nuisance calls - pretty obvious answer, right? Then the person said the calls would stop from tomorrow since I pay by direct debit. After that, she asked if I'd be renewing my debit card soon. I told her that was private and that she never said who she was or which company she was calling from. So, I just hung up.
