Got a call from 07961 231013 claiming to be first direct. Thing is, first direct never use numbers with a dash or adding a 1 in their web address or phone numbers. So, I’d say just block it, ignore and delete the message straight away!

Got a text on my iPhone saying someone added a new payee through mobile banking on 20/05. If it wasn’t me, they asked to visit [#]first-direct1[###]. Obviously, I looked up the number on this site and have since blocked the caller.

This was a scam for sure. Got a message claiming it was from 1st Direct about a new payee added via their mobile app on a specific day. I actually do have an account with 1st Direct but I hadn’t used the app on that day at all. I sent it straight to 1st Direct to let them know and then I forwarded the text to 7726 so they can check out these dodgy texts. After that, I blocked the number to be safe.
