Got a call from someone claiming to be from the tax office, but it was a scam. They used a robotic voice recording to tell me my paperwork was missing and threatened legal trouble if I didn’t hand over my personal info. Definitely dodgy.

This number called me and a bloke who said his name was James Williams spoke with a bit of an Asian accent. He claimed to be from Amazon, saying he was confirming an order I supposedly made for a £500 phone. Thing is, I never ordered anything like that. I remembered seeing a similar scam on BBC’s Scam Interceptors, so I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away.
