Got a message saying I’d won something from ee and to follow the link, but when I checked the ee app, there’s nothing about any prizes or points. Best not to click on it, looks dodgy to me.

Loads of these PPI calls keep coming through and I’ve had enough. So this time, I played along really cheery, going “Ooh, what prize have I bagged? Don’t leave me hanging, spill the beans!” Then, I abruptly told ‘em to jog on, which made me chuckle. The lady wasn’t too pleased and said “That’s not very kind!” before slamming the phone down. Definitely blocked now.

Got a call off a woman about some kind of conservation, but it really felt like one of those dodgy insulation scams. Definitely sounded fishy to me.

Got a call from some energy firm asking about what kind of insulation I had installed at my place. Sounded a bit off to me.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from a loft insulation firm, said they work alongside a local conservation group, and somehow she already knew my name. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

So this woman called me and started by saying my name, then asked if she was talking to me. I didn’t answer straight away but asked what her name was. She said it was ‘Dulcie’ and that she was ringing for a local conservation group about loft insulation. I felt a bit iffy about it so I just ended the call, thinking it was probably a scam.

The number was unfamiliar to me, so I let it go to voicemail. I could catch some background chatter that sounded like a bunch of people talking, maybe a call centre. Then the caller dropped the line without saying anything. Feels like it was probably a scam or some random cold caller.
