I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise on my unlisted landline. The person on the other end claimed they were from some Telephone Banking Service and said there were two charges taken from my account that I hadn’t approved. They told me to press 1 if I accepted the payments or press 2 if I wanted to speak to someone about it. I didn’t press any buttons and just stayed quiet. Suddenly, the call ended. After that, I rang my bank directly, and they confirmed there was nothing unusual happening with my account.
