This number rang me not long ago, and it kicked off with a recorded voice saying it was HMRC. I didn't bother pressing anything to chat with their supposed rep since it felt a bit dodgy. I mean, would HM Revenue & Customs really ring you out of the blue like that on your mobile? Seems unlikely to me. Best thing is to be careful and double-check if you’re uncertain about calls like that.
