Answered the phone, but they hung up straight away. They tried ringing me a couple more times after that but I just ignored it, then blocked the number. Three calls from the same person.

Honestly, it's so annoying! I've told them plenty of times to remove me from their list and stop ringing me, but they keep at it. Now, I just get a call almost every single day, so I've started blocking straight away.

I got two calls from this number in one day. I picked up the first time but there was nothing - just silence before they ended the call. I ignored the second try. If it was someone who actually knows me, they’d leave a message or send a text, right?

I contacted the non-emergency police about this, but they said they couldn’t classify it as a scam. The number showed up as coming from The Guardian, but when I checked with The Guardian themselves, they said it wasn’t their number and these calls are quite common. What’s weird is they even mentioned my partner’s name.

Thought it was my mate so I picked up, but some bloke started by telling me he wanted to ask me a few questions. First he asked if I was at home, and when I told him I was actually at work, he just hung up. Bit odd if you ask me. I’ve blocked the number now, pretty sure it was some kind of scam.
