He insisted that my internet connection had been compromised by hackers and urged me to fire up my laptop so he could supposedly assist me in thwarting these cyber intruders. I didn’t buy it for a second and politely declined. His reaction was rather explosive, as he threatened to cut off my internet and phone services, even going as far as saying I’d end up on a blacklist.
