Why does it seem like I’m always the very first person these new cold-call numbers ring? Just today around 3.45pm, my phone rang and there was a long pause before a guy finally answered. He spoke with an Indian accent and said he was Oliver from British Telecom. I’d had enough by then and just said “No thanks” before hanging up. There’s no way I’m believing that “Oliver” genuinely works for BT doing cold calls, so I’m marking this call as suspicious and risky.
