I got a call claiming to be from HMRC, but it was this recorded message with some American accent I could barely make out. It said I might have problems with them and to press 1 to talk to someone. I didn’t bother as it looked fishy. I don’t owe HMRC anything, and if there was a real issue, wouldn’t a real person call me and ask for ID or something instead of a dodgy recording? Seemed like a scam to me.
