Today, I received a rather dubious phone call from a lady asserting that she worked for Amazon. She informed me that a sum of around a hundred quid had been withdrawn from my account and that 'they needed to verify if that was indeed me'. Following that, she proceeded to request that I 'confirm my identity' by answering some questions regarding my account. To be honest, it was glaringly apparent that she was nothing but a fraudster; having been a long-time Amazon user, I can confidently say they don’t operate in such a manner.
