This number just rang me up saying there was an attempt to buy an iPhone on my Amazon account. Felt totally sketchy to me, must be some sort of scam.

Someone called me claiming they were from Amazon and that I'd purchased an iPhone 14. I just ended the call straight away.

This has been really unfair on me. Somehow my phone number has got a terrible rep because it’s been used without my knowledge to ring loads of people. They then call me back, saying they missed my call or sometimes say awful things. I’m not actually the one making these calls, but I’m the one getting hassled with up to 90 calls a day from folks who’ve had a call from my number. It’s just not right that my number’s reputation is trashed because some nasty people keep using it to contact others all over the UK. Please believe me when I say I’m the one suffering here. The calls I’m getting aren’t from me at all, but from people who’ve been duped by scammers pretending to be me. It’s a nightmare being labelled like this when I’m totally innocent.

Scam alert! They said they pulled money straight from my bank account!!

Without a doubt a fraud. Someone rang up saying they were from Amazon, but I’ve never bought a single thing from that site.

Some bloke said he was from Microsoft and told me there were issues with my laptop internet. I doubt he was genuine though.

Cheers to Call Guardian for blocking that call, it’s a relief. Though the phone still rings briefly before the call gets cut off, which can be a bit annoying.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, said his name was Michael and that he was from BT. When I asked him to explain who it was exactly, he said it was my daughter, which I found a bit dodgy. Then he just cut me off. Honestly, be careful if you get a call like this. Seems pretty suspicious to me.

This morning, twice already - once at 7.42 and then again at 8.53 - I answered the phone but there was complete silence on the other end! We've been getting quite a few of these quiet calls lately.

Someone rang up pretending to be from BT, saying our internet was slow and that we were using iPhones (which is funny cos I don’t have a smartphone at all). I asked the caller for their name and to prove who they were, but they wouldn’t say. I kept asking, but they just stayed silent. I told them I’d report it to the police for harassment, and then they just hung up on me.

This number’s been spoofed or copied, it’s nothing to do with the person who actually owns it. They’re getting bombarded with calls, like up to 80 a day, from people saying they didn’t catch the call earlier. It’s pretty frustrating for them!

They never bothered to ask for my name, just claimed I was doing illegal stuff with my internet. Said Microsoft would shut off my service unless I hit 1 or 2 right away.

This number called me first thing in the morning. The accent on the other end made me hang up straight away. Honestly, these folks need looking into and the line cut off.

Got another call from what they said was the bank's security team, with those usual charges popping up - £300 for Amazon and then £1100 for some international transfer. Same female voice as before too, really feels like a repeat scam or something.

This was clearly one of those bogus calls. Not long ago, I got a scam call claiming to be from Amazon, but I didn’t bother looking up the number. This time, there was a lot of noise in the background, like a busy call centre speaking some language I didn’t understand, so I just ended the call. I’ve noticed scammers tend to keep ringing if you ignore them.

Got a call from +447957792262, some bloke claiming he was with BT saying they were about to disconnect my internet and phone line. He asked me to press 1 or 2 to chat with someone. I'm definitely not a BT customer. Total scam, be careful.

Today, I got a call on my landline from 07957 792262. The bloke claimed he was with Microsoft and even said he knew my name. He asked if I owned the Microsoft computer, which I told him I didn’t. When he asked who did own it, I just said I had no idea. After that, he started getting quite nasty and said he’d block my computer. Proper dodgy call, that one.

Had a call from a woman claiming to be from some refund department in India. I asked her which phone company she was from, and she said Talk Talk. I told her, that’s odd because I got a call just yesterday saying the exact same thing! I asked if she was a scammer, then she just hung up on me. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Typical nonsense! Some bloke rings saying he's from BT Open Reach, claiming there’s an issue with my internet and that I need fibre, which I already have but not from BT! I just kept talking in circles, refusing to budge, and after a while he gave up and hung up when I kept telling him my internet’s absolutely fine! Proper scammer!
