I picked up thinking it was a personal mobile, but the moment I heard the typical call centre chatter and a bloke asking for Mrs James, I just ended the call straight away. They’ve rung me 7 times already today.

THEY CLAIMED TO BE FROM BRITISH GAS, BUT AFTER I CALLED BRITISH GAS DIRECTLY, IT TURNED OUT THIS NUMBER IS NOT CONNECTED TO THEM AT ALL. JUST BLOCKED THEM STRAIGHT AWAY.

Got a call from a guy with an accent claiming to be from British Gas. I told him I already get their calls all the time and asked to be taken off their calling list. He got pretty steamed and said he’d keep ringing me every single day! I just ended the call and blocked him. Proper harassment that was.

Beware of these scammers! They called me claiming to be from British Gas - which I haven’t used in over a decade. Each time I told them to stop calling, but they just kept ringing back. They were trying to get my personal info, I’m sure the plan is to nick your identity right after. Don’t fall for it!
