Received a call from someone purporting to be with the FCA, saying they were assisting with a PPI claim I never even filed. Seems rather dodgy, if you ask me.

When I picked up the phone, all I heard was dead air. Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, these pestering calls keep coming through, and I’ve been told there's nothing they can do about calls with no sound. As if that weren't infuriating enough, I also received a voicemail yesterday from an unfamiliar number. The caller was jabbering away in either an Asian or Indian dialect but there were unmistakably voices in English in the background-quite clearly emanating from a call centre. Honestly, who on earth craves such interruptions? It should be against the law to engage in any form of cold calling, in my opinion.

I received a call from this number concerning a PPI claim. When I mentioned that I had already dealt with it, the caller kept insisting, asking if I’d overlooked anything. I firmly replied that I hadn’t and subsequently hung up. I've now blocked this number. I had to pick up since I'm expecting an important call, and I must say, I’m quite frustrated.
