Got a call from someone claiming to be from the bank’s fraud team, saying they needed to verify two transactions this morning: £300 for Amazon and £1,100 sent abroad. It was the same woman’s voice on every call I’ve had recently. Just the other day, she rattled off an Amazon charge of £199 plus some different figure transferred to myself. Seems like they’ve got a bunch of pre-recorded amounts and keep switching the phone numbers too. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.
