I just got a call from 07459476100. The voice on the line was a woman with an Indian accent, and I think she’d rung me earlier about some other matter. I didn’t hang around and blocked her straight away.

Got a message from this number yesterday saying I needed to self isolate because I’d been near someone who’d tested positive. When I tried to book a PCR test through the link, they wanted my bank info, which immediately felt dodgy since I’ve never been asked for money before. I quickly deleted all my info on that site and then ordered my PCR tests straight from the NI government website, where they didn’t ask for any payment details at all. Something told me it was a scam, so I looked the number up online and sure enough, it’s a known fraud.

Got a text on my phone earlier today, but it was actually sent late last night around 11:30 pm. I clicked the link but it just showed “Account Suspended.” Definitely a dodgy scam!

Thing is, I'm not actually anywhere near the UK right now. Plus, that link looks suspiciously like it’s pretending to be a real NHS site, but it’s definitely not legit.

The PCR test link looks just like the official NHS page, so you might end up giving your personal info. But then, the other links on the site don't actually work, so it's probably a scam.

I saw this on the NHS site: if you’ve been near someone with COVID-19 and have to self-isolate, NHS Test and Trace might contact you by email, text, or phone. Texts usually come from NHStracing and calls from 0300 0135 000. Since it’s a number, I’d say be cautious and don’t click any links in messages like this - could be dodgy.
