3 yearsBank scam... claims to be from unnamed bank about £900 purchase on my account... ... yeah, right!3 yearsA man rang me claiming to be from my credit card provider, saying my card had been cloned and there were three dodgy transactions. He mentioned his boss would call me back in ten minutes. Later, another person phoned, saying he worked for both my bank and credit card firm, warning someone was trying to access my bank account. He insisted they needed to shut down my account and send me a new one. That’s when I got suspicious and refused to give any new sort code or account details. The caller said he'd ring back the following day, which he did, but by then I'd already spoken to my bank and card company, who confirmed my cards had been cancelled. When I told him that, he just hung up. They even tried to convince me they were legit by giving out an FCA number 412 and some so-called crime reference, cr5cr7. These scam calls went on for over three hours!C3 yearsGot a call claiming to be from BT, total scam!
