I could tell it was someone from India right away, there was that shuffling of paper in the background. I let him have a mouthful before hanging up on him. He tried calling me again about five minutes later, but I just ignored it.

This number has been ringing me, first a bloke and then today it was a woman, both chatting about some loan from 2007. I’ve told them to stop wasting my time and blocked the number straight away. No doubt, it’s a total scam.

This number rang me twice today, once even an hour back but when I tried to ring it back it told me I'd dialled wrongly! After reading what's been said and the weird, random stuff from what sounds like the same bloke, I’m actually relieved I didn’t pick up!

This bloke has rung me up 3 times today claiming I can get a refund for paying off a credit card loan or whatever, but the thing is I've never had a credit card in my life. Somehow, he’s got this info saying I do have one. Honestly, it’s getting proper annoying now.

This bloke from India rang me, going on and on about some nonsense to do with my finances. I just cut him off, told him to stop wasting my time, and told him to bugger off before slamming the phone down. Fair play to him though.

Well, fancy that! Seems like I’m in for a bit of unexpected cash from Lloyds, even though I’ve never been their customer. I wondered if banks like NatWest might be doing the same, so I asked - and then, just like that, he ended the call. Talk about bad luck, my moment of fortune just slipped right through my fingers!

Got a call from someone saying I was owed PPI from Lloyds Bank, but I've never even had an account with them. When I told them that, they started shouting at me and then just cut the call abruptly.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent who was asking for a name I've never heard. Then he checked if I was alright and just ended the call. Pretty odd.

I got a call from some compensation firm. The bloke on the phone didn’t really speak great English, so it was pretty hard to follow what he was saying. He said they were trying to give me back some money I’d apparently overpaid on a loan from about 14 years ago.

I got a call from some bloke with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from a refunds team. He knew my first name, which made me a bit suspicious. He was ringing from a mobile and his story sounded dodgy straight away. I told him to quit messing about and not to bother me with nonsense, then I hung up right as he started shouting insults.

Like others have said, this bloke had a really strong Indian accent and was proper rude. I just let him talk nonsense for a bit before cutting him off and blocking the number. Honestly, do they really think we’re that gullible? Which financial firm phones from some random giffgaff number?! Oh, and apparently I’m owed some refund on a credit card loan I supposedly took out with Barclays back in 2008! Hahaha, yeah right.

Just like what loads of others have said, some bloke from India called me, was really rude and then just cut the call. He claimed to be from the National Refunds Department, but it’s clear he’s faking it to seem like a proper government office so his scam sounds more believable.

I got two calls from a bloke claiming to be from India. The first time I picked up, he just hung up straight away. The second call, he actually called me by name and mentioned something about some documents from a loan or credit card way back in 2007. I told him I’ve never had either and asked who he was and what company he was with. He just cut off the call.

Some bloke with a thick Indian accent called me, saying all sorts while I was on Bluetooth in the car with my kids. Proper disgusting behaviour. Then he rang me back via WhatsApp and this bird picked up, claiming she worked at a phone shop and some customer left their phone behind. Sounds dodgy to me, especially when I asked which store and she just hung up. Since then, they've tried ringing loads of times but now they never pick up!

This bloke kept saying I was someone else and that he was supposed to pay me. When I told him he had the wrong person, he just snapped back with ‘it’s you, swan off’ and then cut the call.

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who asked for someone I haven’t heard of. When I said he’d got the wrong person and I couldn’t really get what he was saying, he started shouting all sorts of horrible stuff at me. He threatened me with some awful stuff if I didn’t do what he wanted. His English wasn’t great, and the whole thing was just really unsettling.
