Seems like this scam has started up again. I get calls on my landline roughly five minutes after buying something on Amazon UK. Thought I was imagining things at first, but it's definitely true. I've bought two different things separately and both times the call came through shortly after. I've contacted Amazon to see what they have to say about it.

Got a call from 07956238450, pretty much like the one mentioned earlier - some automated message saying £600 has been taken from my card overseas. What annoyed me was they didn’t say which company was calling or any info about my card, so obviously total scammers. The message cut off before they told me what to do next. This is actually their second attempt to get hold of me, I didn’t pick up the first time.

I just noticed a £600 charge on my debit card that I didn’t make. When I called, it was just a recorded message. What’s really worrying me is that about five weeks ago I got tricked by a dodgy website, and I’m wondering if this company knows I’ve already spoken with my bank and credit card company about it? They showed up as a law firm based in Merchiston, Edinburgh, which sounds pretty dodgy to me!

Decided to check out the number online and saw quite a few people warning about it being linked to scams or some sort of fraud. It’s such a relief to have a place where you can quickly check if a number is dodgy or not. According to this site, this one’s definitely dodgy.
