Someone tried pulling a scam on me via Gumtree. They were super rude about it as well.

Someone tried to pay me for an item I had on Gumtree by sending a payment link and asking for my credit card info to 'complete' the transaction. The caller pretended to be Jenna Mills from Manchester, but it could easily have been someone else using that name. Just a heads up, never share any card or personal details. Mine ended up being linked to a FedEx-related scam. Best to block and report the number straight away.

Dodgy Gumtree operator here. I’ve flagged them up to EE, and whenever you ring, it goes directly to voicemail. Go ahead and record some long-winded messages; hopefully, EE will sort them out sooner rather than later!

Got a call from what looks like a Gumtree scammer using an EE number. Every call I made just went to voicemail, so I left a few detailed messages for them. Also made sure to let EE know about it.

Someone hit me up on WhatsApp about buying something off Gumtree and said they'd pay via FedEx and send a courier. Seemed fishy so I looked up the number first. When I tried ringing back, they didn’t pick up. Pretty dodgy if you ask me, definitely avoiding that one!

Someone hit me up on WhatsApp saying they wanted to buy stuff I had on Gumtree. They said they'd pay via FedEx and even send a courier - sounded dodgy straight away. Couldn't get through when I rang the number back either. Luckily, I checked the number online before going any further. Definitely felt like a scam, so avoided it entirely!
