I’ve honestly never been this frustrated before! It was some rubbish about citizen’s advice or something like that!! What really got me mad though, was that my 10 year old daughter is on a school trip and when this strange mobile number rang, I thought it might be one of her teachers trying to get through. Turns out it was just some idiot messing about and made me all worried for nothing. Bloody idiots!!

What a nuisance! These people keep ringing me every week from different mobile numbers, always banging on about government grants for debts. They call themselves Citizens Advice, but I’m sure they have nothing to do with the genuine Citizens Advice service. Sometimes they’re quite civil, other times downright horrible. I’ve got such a long list of blocked numbers now it’s unreal. No matter how many times I tell them I’m not interested, they just don’t seem to get the message and never remove me from their calls!

They started by asking for my first name, then said they were from the Citizens Advice and wanted to know if I had any credit cards. I told them I wasn’t sure why they were calling and asked if they really were the Citizens Advice Bureau, then they just cut me off and hung up.

Had a call around 11 this morning. The guy said his name was Alex and claimed to be from the citizens advice bureau. He kept asking if I could hear him clearly - kept saying “mam, can you hear me?” but the phone line was really fuzzy. He mentioned something about unsecured debts and a loan, but I didn’t really catch it all. Just ended up hanging up. I’ve now blocked the number but it’s a bit worrying to be honest.

Got a call earlier today from some bloke who somehow already knew my name. He sounded like he was just reading off some script and claimed he was from the Debt Advice Agency. I went through the same thing as someone else mentioned here - apparently a credit company passed my info along because I'd got some unsecured debts. A guy named John from London phoned, had a strong Indian accent and sounded like he was just reading from a script without any real feeling. Apparently, Action Fraud is looking into this sort of thing and keeping track of the bad numbers. Thought I’d share in case anyone else wants to check it out.

this number rang me pretending to be citizens advice, saying i owed legal debts which i found weird since i’ve got no legal problems. when i asked how to verify the call was legit, the guy just said alright and ended the call. kinda freaky since they had my phone and name. i’ve reported them to action fraud just in case.

i got a call from some guy with a strong Indian accent claiming my debts had been passed to his company. when i asked for details about the debts and the amount owed, he just hung up on me. weird thing is, he did know my name. i tried calling the number back but it showed up as unknown. felt like a total scam.

I’m not sure who that was, but they ended the call after around 40 seconds. When I tried ringing them back, the number didn’t show up as valid. Still, they were the ones who gave me a ring. The number was 07955 688293.
