I got a message saying I could get £583.80 back for tax year 19/20 because of the lockdown rules. It had a link for me to claim it at hmrc.taxform[###]/claim. My daughter clicked on it not realising it might be dodgy. Strange thing is, it took us to what looked like the real government site, and said the refund would show up in my bank in 10 working days. Just a heads up - watch out for stuff like this. I’ve let my bank know and will be contacting HMRC first thing tomorrow.

Received a text from +44 7955 565248 saying something like: [HMRC] Because of the latest lockdown rules, you can get a £583.80 tax refund for 2019/20. Claim it at hmrc.taxform[###]/claim. This is completely unrelated to me and honestly felt a bit dodgy. Didn't click on the link at all, it just seems like a scam to me. If anyone’s got info on this number, please let me know. I’m going to block it for harassment for now. Cheers!
