Someone rang me saying they were from Amazon, checking if I still wanted to go through with an £899 iPhone order or if I needed help avoiding a possible scam. Thing is, they didn’t know my name or where I live, and I wasn’t about to share that. I asked why they were calling from a mobile, and they said it was some kind of special number so people wouldn’t realise it was Amazon. When I then asked for their name, they just cut me off. Pretty suspicious to say the least.
