They rang my mum, who’s well into her 80s, offering to come out and inspect her solar panels, even trying to book her in for the next day. I called 1471 to check the number and it came up as ECO Systems or something like that. I told them she wouldn’t be available and asked them to take her off their call list. Then the woman on the phone actually asked if we’d done the “fire regulation forms” - honestly, I couldn’t believe it!

A woman with an English accent rang me and asked if she had reached the right person, even using my proper name. I replied asking who she was, but then she quickly said she'd dialled the wrong number and ended the call. That seemed odd to me - how could she get my name spot on yet still say it was a wrong number? Plus, I’m on the TPS list so shouldn’t be getting these types of calls anyway. Because of all this, I’m pretty sure it was some kind of scam and feels more like harassment, maybe even something worse.

Got a call from someone called Sam at ‘Ecohomes’. Told them no thanks and they just ended the call straight away.

I got a call that sounded like it was from a call centre, loads of people chatting in the background. I answered with 'Yes, can I help you?' and then they just said 'Oh, wrong number' and hung up. Strange!
