My mother-in-law got a call from someone claiming there'd been strange transactions on her bank account, mentioning payments through Amazon and stuff. They told her to press a number on her phone, but she just ended the call. She couldn’t really tell who they said they were, but they spoke with an English accent. It seems like one of those phishing scam calls to me.

They phoned me pretending to be my bank, saying someone was trying to withdraw money from my account. I check my balance every day and the amount they mentioned isn’t even close to what’s there to cover anything suspicious. Total scam, don’t fall for it!
