Got a call from a woman speaking with an East Asian accent, claiming she was from BT and needed to check my internet. When I told her I didn’t actually have BT, she said it made no difference and warned that if I didn’t cooperate, she'd disconnect my service and I’d have to visit their main office in London to get it fixed. I found it pretty cheeky, especially since she kept calling me sir, which felt off. When I called her out on it, she just hung up. She also wanted me to look at an email and enter a code she sent, which I wasn’t about to do.
