I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC. They told me there was a warrant out for my arrest and said my NI number and identity had been flagged by the government. Apparently, I have 18 bank accounts and a whole bunch of fraudulent activities happening in my name. I contacted my local police force straight away. It’s a total scam using scare tactics. The police know about this and are working with an investigation team on it. PLEASE don’t believe them if they say there’s a warrant for your arrest. If you’re unsure, just call 101 and they’ll clear it up for you instantly.
