Got a missed call on my shiny new phone today. Left a voicemail claiming it was an important message from ACI, then gave another number to ring back. I've found out that this number is actually the one EE uses to notify you about new voicemails. If you want to see who phoned you, just dial and hold 1 to get into your voicemail. Then press 4 and EE will send you a new text with the real caller's number. So if it's a scam call, make sure to report that number, not this message sender!

Got a ring on my mobile from a number I didn’t have saved. Thought it could be my doctor at first. Turns out it was some automated woman saying she was calling from British Gas about renewing my energy plan. I’m with another provider, so that was obviously dodgy. I hung up but then got another call straight after, no robot voice this time. Oddly, my call log only shows one outgoing call. Bit weird, if you ask me.

Got a call from this number +447953222222. My phone said it’s from Golden Dynasty, but I don’t have that saved nor anyone picked up when I spoke. Bit odd really. Apparently, it’s also the answering machine number for EE. Makes me wonder if this number’s been cloned? Some of the posts here suggest that might be the case. The EE voicemail itself should be harmless, but if someone’s faking it, that’s dodgy. I’ve flagged it as unknown and will keep an eye out for any further calls.

Turns out this number’s actually the one used by EE for their voicemail system. So anytime you get or leave a voicemail, it goes through this exact number. Reading the other reviews, you can tell most folks don’t have a clue what this number is and just jump to call it scammy or dodgy stuff. Just goes to show, letting people who aren’t informed have a say can lead to a lot of misunderstandings and false alarms.

This number has rung me for two days straight. They left a voicemail both times, but weirdly it never showed up as a missed call on my phone. Dodgy scheme. It told me there was a voicemail and to ring 222 to hear it, otherwise the message would vanish. Thing is, my phone doesn't do that, so I phoned the number it said had rung me (someone I know well) and they said they never called or left anything.
