I told them to take my details out of their database and they just snapped at me, asking if I actually was a mechanic and how I'd deal with a car breaking down. I said yes, I am a mechanic and I'll sort it myself. After that, they started being all snobby, questioning what kind of mechanic I am and accusing me of making it up.

They called me, saying my social security number was involved in some fraud and I needed to ring back or I'd get arrested. Even though I picked up straight away, they still tried to freak me out. Honestly, stuff like this is so creepy - people really go to any lengths to scam others.

Got a call from a bloke saying he was from Barclays. When I asked what the call was about, he just shut up and then began pestering me for my address and name. Didn’t fall for it and have now blocked the number.
