I got a call saying there was a £799 purchase on my Amazon account. They gave me the name of the person who supposedly placed the order and then asked what kind of phone I was using. They said they’d send me a security code to stop the order. Then some ‘supervisor’ came on and tried to question me about my phone, then spun some tale about me going to a restaurant and them holding onto my card details - which I’ve never done. I told them to just cancel the order but they kept pushing. So I told them they were scammers and ended the call.
