I got a call from this number, and an automated voice said someone at Amazon had accessed my bank and spent £700. It told me to press 1 to talk to an operator. Suspicious, I just hung up and checked my bank account myself. Luckily, all my money was still there, so it was obviously a scam. If I’d pressed 1 and got connected, it was likely a con artist pretending to help but actually trying to trick me.
