Got a call from what sounded like an Amazon rep, but it was actually some call centre in India pretending to be them. Proper dodgy!

This number called me claiming they were from BT security in London, saying hackers were using my internet for dodgy stuff. They knew my first name and postcode, but nothing more. They asked me to switch on my laptop, which I refused. The guy then got annoyed, accusing me of illegally using internet I hadn’t paid for. My fiancé actually pays the bill from his own account! Apparently, if my name isn’t on the contract, I’m not allowed to use the internet. Complete scam, sounded like one of those call centre scams. Total nonsense!
