I received a message asking, "Did you end up selling the shop like you mentioned at the last dinner gathering?"

This number rang me and asked, "How've you been? Are you available this Thursday? Fancy grabbing a coffee?" It felt a bit strange and way too formal for anyone I actually know, so I’m really relieved I looked it up here before replying!

Honestly, it’s a complete con. Answering calls from numbers you don’t recognise is really daft. These scammers thrive on gullible Brits, probably the reason they’re always driving new Mercs every year. This one definitely seems like the beginning of a dating scam saga. It was even reported in the news not too long ago.

I got a message inviting me to hang out, but I told them it was the wrong number. Right after, they quickly replied apologising and then started asking for my age and more about me. Seemed fishy, so I just blocked them straight away.
