Watch out for this scam! I first got a text claiming to be from John Lewis Credit Card security, asking if I’d made two charges on my card. I said no. Then they rang me, saying my card would be blocked and replaced. The bloke on the phone sounded proper British and very professional. He then started looking into my PayPal transactions, trying to trick me into authorising a payment back to me that was actually dodgy. In hindsight, I should’ve clocked the red flags right away - like the odd time they called, them using a mobile, and the way they named the company wrongly.
