I'd strongly advise you to steer clear of this dodgy text and to block the scammer's phone line! I recently got a rather nefarious message from this number, purporting to be from EE about my most recent payment. It was all nonsense, claiming they couldn't process my payment and urging me to update my details through a dubious link. Don't fall for it!

Got a text saying it was from hmre about a tax refund, but it had a dodgy link in it. Definitely a scam.

They say they're from Halifax, but they're definitely not. Total scammers. I would avoid picking up when they ring and don’t even bother responding to their messages. They’re just trying to get your personal info.

Got a text that looked dodgy. I’m not even a Halifax customer, so it was pretty obvious. The message said something about a new device trying to pay on 06/11/20 at around 6pm. It then told me to check out some link if I hadn’t made the payment. Definitely a scam, don’t click those!

Just got a message from this number claiming there was an issue with my payment at ee and included a link to visit - I’ve never been an ee customer, so this is definitely a scam - make sure you block this number!
