Just got a text from this number claiming to be 'Royal Mail', saying my parcel is ready and I need to pay £2.99 via a link they gave. Normally, Royal Mail leaves a note through the letterbox if something’s arriving. Plus, the link didn’t have any mention of Royal Mail anywhere. I wasn’t expecting anything and didn’t click on the link, obviously. No special occasion either, so can’t be a legit surprise! Have blocked the number straight away.

Watch out, this is definitely a scam. I got a message from a cellphone number claiming to be Royal Mail saying "Your parcel is ready for delivery, please pay £2.99 via this link: ()". The link isn’t a genuine Royal Mail site but a fake page made to look like it. They try to trick you into giving your personal info like your date of birth and bank details. It’s a typical phishing attempt. When I checked the website’s registration, it was linked to someone in Reykjavik, Iceland, so it’s obviously not from Royal Mail.

Someone tried to pose as Royal Mail and trick me into clicking a link then paying £2.99 at like 3 in the morning. It's definitely a scam. Genuine Royal Mail texts actually show up as Royal Mail on your iPhone and say where your parcel is coming from. So watch out and don’t press any links like that.

WARNING, DONT CLICK THE LINKS! Got a text saying it’s from Royal Mail about a parcel delivery and asking for a £2.99 payment - that’s a scam for sure. Royal Mail never ask you to pay online like that, they will always leave a card if a parcel needs collecting and you pop in person to the sorting office. Also, they don’t have your phone number to send texts like that. Here’s the text I got, just for reference, but whatever you do, don’t press the link: RoyalMail: Your parcel is ready to be delivered, please confirm payment of £2.99 at [link]. Stay safe everyone!

The text had a link that looked real but it led to a bogus site pretending to be Royal Mail. Do NOT click on it, no matter what. Just delete the message and block this number straight away.

For the past few days, I've been getting texts from 07716235407 saying I owe £1.99 for parcel delivery. I just ignored them, thinking it was odd.
