4 yearsGot a call from some guy claiming to be with Currys or PC World, but the line was really bad. When I asked what he wanted (was busy working), he just told me to #### off and then cut the call. Straight away, I blocked the number.CurrysPC World7 yearsThey've called me three times in the past four days! I’ve started blocking their number on my mobile now. I set up a filter on my landline to only allow calls from numbers I recognise, which really dropped the scam calls there, but my mobile is definitely getting hit more often. It’s strange because the numbers they use are supposed to be ex-directory so you’d think they’d be harder to find.7 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be from a “credit investigation” team. They told me some unknown firm I supposedly owe money to is willing to wipe off 60% of the debt. I was pretty sceptical and replied in a sarcastic tone like “yeah right, that’s so generous of them,” and then they just hung up on me! Definitely a scam, watch out!7 yearsCheers to everyone who’s reported this to ACTION FRAUD. I’m confident the culprits will soon be (1) tracked down (2) caught (3) taken to court. Lets keep it up and put an end to these scammers who enjoy ripping people off, much appreciated.ACTION FRAUD7 yearsReceived six calls in just one hour, and on top of that, my landline's been ringing nonstop. Absolutely crazy!7 yearsThey keep ringing me non stop, but after seeing these reviews, I’m gonna have to block them for good.7 yearsSome bloke with an Indian accent called claiming he was from Citizens Advice, but I just ended the call pretty quickly. Ha ha.Citizens Advice7 yearsSome bloke with a thick Indian accent rang me up about some debt or summat. I just went along with it for a laugh. He was called something daft like John David Billy Bob or whatever. Said I owed £6000, then suddenly told me if I gave him 60 quid, my debt would be sorted. I told him I didn't owe a penny, just messing about, and he ended up shouting down the phone at me! Such a muppet.JohnDavidBilly Bob7 yearsThis has got to be a complete rip-off.7 yearsHad a call from this rude foreign bloke with the worst language I've heard, accusing me of owing money - which I definitely don’t. He even called me a liar and a nasty name. I told him to check his facts before bothering innocent people. As I was trying to end the call, he just started swearing nonstop. These kinds of calls are awful, absolute disgrace. I’ve blocked the number and reported it to Action Fraud. Honestly, I dread to think how frightening this must be for older folks!Action Fraud7 yearsI picked up and they accused me of lying, then proceeded to insult my mum.7 years### Imagine Bob Marley singing ### "Yeah, we out here scamming"Bob Marley7 yearsPicked up the call and some bloke with an accent started going on about how great it is to let them handle your debts. Pretty sure it was a total scam though.7 yearsAnother scam! Can you believe it’s from a mobile number this time? They just bombard you with ridiculous stories, trying to trick you into handing over your info by claiming someone emptied your account in Uganda. Absolutely ignore and block these creeps!Uganda7 yearsI got a call claiming to be from some credit investigation or something - total scam if you ask me!7 yearsSteer clear of this number. They keep ringing and harassing folk, and if you ignore them, they start calling you rude names. Proper annoying!7 yearsThey keep calling me and as soon as I pick up, they just hang up.7 yearsWatch out for these dodgy debt management scammers pretending to ring you from an EE mobile but actually calling from some overseas call centre. Instead of just blocking the number, make sure you report it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or visit their site online. We need to do something about these nasty people and get them taken down!EEAction Fraud7 yearsGot a call from a lady who sounded foreign last week. When I said I don’t owe any money, she asked me if I was daft and then called me a silly b***! Lovely behaviour, eh?7 yearsI picked up and asked who it was, then they went on to call me a liar and said awful things about my mum.7 yearsGot a strange call from this number today. The person kept asking about debts I supposedly had, which is rubbish because I don’t owe anything. When I mentioned that, they switched to asking about life insurance. I asked why they cared, and that seemed to annoy them a lot. Suddenly they started yelling, calling me a liar and threatening that lawyers would turn up at my house in a couple of hours over “lying” to them. Honestly, this feels like a scam. Definitely report this number to Action Fraud straight away.Action Fraud7 yearsThis number has called me like 3 times within the past hour. I didn’t pick up and ended up blocking it since it showed as a possible scam caller.Submit Your Own Report (07949 297596)
