Got this automated call saying TalkTalk will cancel my internet and broadband service. The message told me to press 1 to speak with tech support or press 2 if I wanted to proceed with ending the contract. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Today I got 32 missed calls and about 4 voicemails from the same number. A few days back I blocked it after it rang like 5 times when I didn’t answer, but even though it’s blocked my phone still shows the calls trying to come through. The day before that, it rang 8 times nonstop. Whenever I try to ring back, the call just ends straight away and there’s no chance to send a text either. The voicemails left are all empty too. Quite annoying!

Got a call saying my TalkTalk internet was about to be cut off, then it asked me to press 1 or 2, but I just hung up and ignored it.

Got a call from someone sayin they were from TalkTalk tech support, told me my internet would be disconnected if I didn’t ring them back. The voice was really robotic and creepy. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be with some global internet security firm. They started off by warning me about all sorts of horrible stuff that would happen if I didn’t renew whatever subscription I supposedly had. Then, they pressured me to send money straight away through my bank to keep it active. Definitely felt sketchy and risky!

I kept getting calls from a mobile number claiming they would take money from my bank for some service they said I’d been using for two years. I told the bloke, who had an Asian accent, I wasn’t aware of any such service and definitely didn’t want it. He kept ringing me back endlessly, probably about eight times or more. Eventually, I used 1572 to block future calls and BT started sending all their calls straight to junk. Every time I hung up, he’d call back moments later. Big thanks to BT for sorting that out.
