07947990779 - got a text saying its from the Government. The message said 'CENSUS: your census application has missing info. To dodge a £1000 penalty, go to: [#]census-application-update[###]'. But the Government say they’re not behind this. They do warn there’s actually a £1000 fine if you don’t fill it out properly though. I checked the link in the message and my phone flagged it as unsafe.

Sounds like a dodgy scam about some missing details on a census form. They’re threatening a £1000 fine or something like that.

This is a bogus census alert, claiming ur info is incomplete and warns that u might get fined up to £1000. First it wants ur personal info like name and job, then on the next page it tries to get ur card details to charge £1.25 for a supposed late fee. Watch out, it’s a scam.
