Got a text claiming Halifax added a new device to my account with a link to click. Checked my account on my own phone just to be sure and nothing seemed off at all. Definitely a scam trying to trick you!

Got a text saying a new device had been linked to my Halifax account, which is strange as I dont even have one. I didn’t click the link but when I looked online, legitimate Halifax messages always include your name. This one didn’t have it at all. Plus, genuine Halifax emails end with Halifax followed straight by some numbers, no extra stuff like this did. So yeah, I just deleted it straight away!
